Make a change in someone else’s life by becoming a personal trainer. The Rec Center is offering a course that includes practical hands-on experience to get you prepared for the ACE Personal Trainer Certification Exam. The course will be held on Tuesdays in the Wellness Classroom from 6:30pm to 9pm beginning January 26th and is an eight-week program. While this method aids in grasping a better understanding of applied kinesiology, this class will cover the process of building a meaningful rapport with a client, making this an incredibly satisfying career choice.
Trainers practice close interaction with clients, which requires the ability to recognize behavioral change and better understand health psychology. Learn about what inspires a client to push past their perceived limitations, while encouraging the discipline of nutrition.
In addition to client rapport, the course focuses on human anatomy, nutrition, as well as, resistance training, cardiorespiratory training, performance training and functional training (assessments, programming and progressions for posture, movement, core, balance and flexibility.)
Don’t pass up this opportunity to gain valuable knowledge within the health and fitness world, while making a difference in other’s lives.
Cost for students are $50 and $75 for non-students. Those who attend are strongly advised to adhere to the scheduled classes 100%. Register at the Welcome Center!
